Emmanuel FREMIET (1824-1910) "The Gaulish chief", bronze print, brown patina, signed in hollow on the side of the terrace, this print does not include the spear, 36 x 25,8 x 8cm. Related works The plaster model was exhibited at the 1863 Salon followed by an imperial commission on March 10, 1864 for the Musée d'Archéologie Nationale in Saint Germain-en-Laye. Frémiet realized a monumental statue of 1m57 which was inaugurated in 1867 cf. Inv.MAN 22355 of the Museum. Bronze proof of the Dijon Museum Inv.4176
