Félix Charpentier (1858-1924) "La chanson" 1889, Bronze proof, brown patina, signed in hollow on the edge of the terrace and bearing the founder's stamp "Colin" 68,5 x 19 x 18 cm. History: In 1890, the artist presented two major works including "La Chanson", where he won the Salon prize. The plaster purchased by the State was placed in the vestibule of the Hôtel de Ville de Paris. The marble version contributed to the decoration of the Ministry of the Interior. In 1899, "La Chanson", reduced to bronze, was presented at an exhibition in the salons of Colin, his publisher since 1887. Bib.
