Pocket watch in 750 thousandths gold, white enameled dial with painted Roman numerals, minute track, small second hand at 6 o'clock. Case back centered with a cartouche surrounded by finely chased foliage on a radiating guilloché background. Inner case in 750 thousandths gold. Mechanical movement, key winding, anchor escapement, Breguet spiral, straight-line, compensated bimetallic balance. Swiss workmanship from the second half of the 19th century (dial slightly cracked, scratches). The case bears an engraved inscription, dated 1867. This watch was presented to Dr. Joseph Roussel, precursor of blood transfusion and one of the founders of the Red Cross. Gross weight: 77 g. Diameter: 46.5 mm. A metal watch key is included.
