Graphite and colored pencil. Some traces of paint and small superficial paper chips. Produced by Toei Animation between 1986 and 1989. Good overall condition. Slight traces of use consistent with age and studio handling. 26.8 x 24 cm Certificate of authenticity. Rare dōga of Shaka of the Virgin, here depicted with his eyes open during his mythical confrontation with Ikki of the Phoenix, after having deprived the latter of his five senses, before the latter finally managed to awaken the seventh sense. An emblematic moment in the Sanctuary arc, this intense expression illustrates the power and almost divine dimension of the Golden Knight of the Virgin, whose open eyes symbolize the total release of his cosmos.
