Julia BECK (1853-1935), Swedish school "Verger en fleurs à Beaumont-le-Roger" April 1912. Oil on canvas signed, dated and located lower left, canvas cut and sewn on tension bands, small misses, unframed. 52 x 87 cm. Julia BECK, a Swedish artist, discovered France in 1878 and fell under the spell of Normandy, where she came every summer to paint delicate, mysterious landscapes, notably at Carolles in the Manche, or Beaumont-le-Roger in the Eure.
