HUAU Paris. Bollard clock "allegory of the birth of the King of Rome", in chased gilt bronze on a black background. Topped by a trophy with shields, sword and crest, from which an angel emerges. Roman helmets and swans decorate the front, and military trophies the sides. The quadrangular base, surmounted by claw feet, bears the front inscription "L'amour sous les lauriers, n'a point vu de cruelles". Enameled dial with Roman numerals (as is), Empire period, mid-19th-century movement with key and pendulum. W.19 x D.10 x H.34 cm
