He is wearing a helmet topped by a plume and a general's armor decorated with a dragon's head and part of the celestial scarf on the front. Known as Skanda, he is the protector of Buddhist teachings and the leader of the twenty-four celestial guardians mentioned in the Golden Light Sutra.
